ADAPT! A Climate-Focused Food-Venture in Falcon Heights

The Bell Museum, CBS Conservatory, and The Good Acre are joining forces to tell a fascinating food and climate story in three informative and engaging chapters.

1. Start at the Bell Museum with an exclusive guided tour of the Weather to Climate exhibit, visiting from the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum in Chicago through April 28, 2019.
2. Take a quick ride to the UMN College of Biological Sciences Conservatory, home to the most diverse collection of plants in the upper midwest, and encounter amazing food plants from 5 climates around the globe.
3. Enjoy a cooking demonstration and tasting at The Good Acre with guest chef-instructor Beth Jones of Campus Club, who will use products from the University of Minnesota’s Cornercopia Student Organic Farm to prepare a simple, elegant, and sustainable menu. Then, we’ll enjoy our local meal together and discuss the future of climate-smart farming, cooking, and eating in Minnesota.

Menu will include:

Heirloom Bean/Roasted Beet Hummus with Fresh Vegetables (GF, DF, V)

5:00 PM Interactive tour and tropical foods tasting at CBS Conservatory

6:00 PM Cooking Demo – by Beth Jones

7:00 PM Group meal and discussion

8:00 PM Back to real life with tingling taste buds, new recipes in tow
