Create Your Own Kimchi

Back by popular demand for its third year! Are you curious about creating fermented foods but don’t know where to start? If yes, then this class is for you! Fermentation is an amazing, easy-to-do process that preserves and transforms seasonal produce into funky, flavorful products, and this class will focus on fermenting cabbage, carrots, and more into kimchi — an easy and delicious gateway into the world of fermentation. You Betcha Kimchi co-owner and Frogtown Farm Manager, Iman Mefleh, will lead you through the kimchi process and answer all of your fermenting questions. Participants will work together in The Good Acre’s kitchen to prepare a big batch of kimchi, and each person will get to pack a jar to take home and ferment.
