Culinary Boot Camp–Make It Nice

Learn how to make and plate restaurant-quality food from award-winning chef, former Top Chef contestant, and St. Paul College culinary arts instructor Sara Johannes. If you’ve ever tried to plate artfully and ended up with a mishmash of food that looks like toddler finger paint, or you want to step up your garnish game beyond a sprig of parsley, this three-day culinary boot camp is for you. In this series of hands-on classes, you’ll learn how to “make it nice” with the right sauces, accoutrements, and plating. Class will take place in the evenings of Wednesday-Friday July 19th-21st from 6-8:30 pm and will include adult beverage pairings, so 21+ only, please.
“Make it nice” is a professional kitchen phrase that Michelin-starred chef Daniel Humm sums up well: “As a chef and a restaurateur, this means that I need to pay attention to all the details; nothing can be done haphazardly and no corners can be cut.”
