Food Matters for Health

We’ve all heard about how food affects our health, but do we really understand what to eat and what it has to do with our health and well being?
For example: Does “dieting” actually work? Should I go Paleo? Vegan? Gluten-free? What foods are anti-inflammatory? What is gut health? How can I enjoy foods without lots of added sugar and fat? What is mindful eating? Does it really work? And how much time does all this take??
This class with Chef Jenny Breen, who has her Masters in Public Health, will provide a basic exploration of whole foods, how and why they matter for long term health, and eating for disease prevention. You will work together to prepare a meal of delicious, whole foods, and then have the opportunity to discuss and ask questions as you enjoy the fruits of your labor. You’ll leave class with knowledge and skills that will contribute to your health for years to come.
