Whole Grain Baking

There can be so much more to holiday baking than classic sugar cookies and peanut butter blossoms (as good as they are!), and this class will open your eyes to a world of baking beyond white, all purpose flour. You’ll have the chance to get creative with local grains and other ingredients in this hands-on class with local culinary maven and regular Star Tribune Taste columnist Robin Asbell. The class menu will include baked goodies full of exciting flavors and textures, including chocolate chunk buckwheat cookies, a chèvre and apple fool (gluten-free), and barley granola brittle.
