Ozooni: Japanese New Year’s Soup

Come kick off 2020 by celebrating the New Year as many Japanese do. New Year’s Day is the most important holiday in Japan and Ozooni, a flavorful soup with Mochi (Japanese rice cake), is one of the traditional dishes eaten to celebrate the holiday. In this hands on cooking class with instructor Kimiko Molasky you’ll work together to prepare, cook, and eat this wonderful clear soup made with chicken, Mochi, mushrooms, and greens, cooked in a savory Dashi broth. You’ll also learn how to enjoy Mochi in a variety of other ways.
