Pachamanca: Chef Camp in the City!

Cooking over fire is the backbone of Chef Camp, and with this class we’re excited to bring a taste of Chef Camp to the city! Chef Nettie Colón, a featured instructor at this year’s Chef Camp, will be leading class through preparing Pachamanca — a layered dish of chicken, lamb, and vegetables wrapped up in banana leaves that is traditionally cooked in an underground pit. We will be preparing our very own version of a Pachamanca that can be made in a dutch oven and cooked in a home oven. Learn about the tradition of this delicious feast, put together an assortment of sides and sauces to accompany it, and learn the techniques required to recreate it at home. Class ends with a shared feast with your fellow classmates. Come hungry, leave happy! Please note, an alcoholic beverage pairing will be served so 21+ only, please!
