Pickling and Canning

It’s that time of year again! MN State Fair Blue Ribbon winner Randi Madden returns to The Good Acre to share her award-winning recipes and expert tips on all things canning and pickling. Turn the bounty from your garden or local farmers market into canned goodies that will remind you of the sweet taste of summer during the darkest days of winter. Participants will work together to prepare the following three recipes (a mix of refrigerator and water bath-canned) and take home a jar of each:
- Refrigerator Giardiniera
- Summer Salsa (with tomatoes from TGA’s hoophouse!)
- Honey-Blackberry-Thyme Jam
Please note that class will not include a full meal, but snacks will be provided.
