In this hands-on class, Chef Koshiki Smith of St. Paul’s dearly departed Tanpopo restaurant will teach you how to make your very own hand-rolled sushi. You’ll discuss ingredients, including rice and fillings, and different types of sushi. Then, under Chef Koshiki’s expert guidance, you’ll try your hand at making your very own sushi rolls. With a bit of practice, you will be able to enjoy fresh and delicious homemade sushi whenever the mood strikes!
Class menu will include:
- California Rolls
- Vegetable Rolls
- Raw Fish Nigiri or Rolls
- Spicy Tuna Rolls
The raw fish sushi will feature sustainably caught wild fish from our friends Sitka Salmon Shares, a Midwest- and Alaska-based Community Supported Fishery (similar to the CSA model for veggies). Class participants will receive a coupon for $25 off a share with Sitka Salmon Shares.
