Teen Cooking Camp
July 16 @ 6:00 pm - July 19 @ 8:00 pm$120
Cooking is a great way to get creative, be self-sufficient, and develop healthy eating skills, making it a valuable activity for anyone, but especially for teens. If you are a teenager who loves to cook or wants to learn how to cook, this camp is for you. It will be taught by award-winning chef, talented teacher, and rising local star Yia Vang (of popup restaurant Union Kitchen MN), who brings his Hmong-Minnesotan perspective to everything he cooks, from banh mi to hot dish, with delicious results. Recipes will be globally influenced (with a focus on Southeast Asian flavors), teach a variety of cooking techniques, and feature produce grown by our network of small farmers. Campers will also be exposed to the local agriculture/food system through the unique setting of The Good Acre food hub.
This camp is for teens ages 13 and up and runs 6-8 pm Monday, July 16-Thursday, July 19. $120 registration fee covers all four evenings. All campers must have a signed The Good Acre waiver upon arrival to camp. A link to download the waiver will be found in your registration confirmation email.
