Venezuelan Street Food: Arepas

Hector and Julia will teach you how to make arepas, a fried corn cake with a crispy outside and soft fluffy center. Arepas are portable, grab and go snack that can be filled with a wide variety of delicious things. Participants will make an assortment of fillings and accoutrements to go with the arepas, as well as a bonus dish of baked and stuffed plantains. You’ll leave the class full of delicious food and with a deeper understanding of Venezuelan cuisine and culture!
Class menu will include:
- Classic Arepas with Various Seasonal Fillings (Vegetarian)
- Baked and Stuffed Plantains
