Winter in Alsace

Alsace is a unique region in northeastern France bordered by both Germany and Switzerland. Nestled in the plain of the Rhine river with the Vosges mountains to the east, the region alternated between German and French control over centuries, resulting in a unique cuisine that reflects a mix of those cultures. In this hands on class instructor Bret Bannon will take you on a culinary tour exploring this region. You’ll create traditional dishes that showcase the delicious and hearty melding of Germanic and French influences of Alsace, featuring regional favorites like pork, cheese, and their famously good white wines.
Class menu will include:
- Tarte Flambée (Alsatian Flatbread with Bacon and Onion)
- Coq au Rielsing (Chicken Braised in Riesling)
